Stores go into lockdown during Scottsdale knife incident

A woman has been arrested after an incident on the main street of Scottsdale this morning.

Police responded to reports of a woman allegedly wielding a knife on King Street around 11am.

Some stores on the street reportedly went into lockdown during the incident, according to the North Eastern Advertiser.

A police spokesperson told Pulse the woman was taken into “protective custody” a short time later and will be receive medical attention.

“There is no ongoing risk to the public,” they said.
