Firefighters are battling a blaze that has engulfed a home on Hobart’s eastern shore this morning.

Crews from Clarence, Hobart and Rokeby were called to the fire on Benboyd Circle just after 9am on Sunday.
The street is currently closed to all traffic and pedestrians, with emergency services asking people to stay away.
Several people have been taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment, while others are being assessed at the scene.
The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.
Police are expected to provide further information on Sunday afternoon.
