A packed crowd has been sent home from tonight’s free drive-in cinema at the last minute due to strong winds.
The disappointed audience of hundreds had filled the Regatta Grounds early to secure their spot to watch Happy Feet.

The pop-up initiative is part of the City of Hobart’s Out In The Open program, aiming to get people out and about in the community.
The Princess Bride was shown last night, and Hobart City Council says the drive-in will return for the last time tomorrow night.
Gates will open at 6PM, and cars can queue from 30 minutes before the gates open.
