The Tasmania Football Club has launched ‘Rum’un’s Wheels’ – a new branded vehicle for the club’s beloved mascot.

The initiative, unveiled at a Family Day event at Jackson Volkswagen in Launceston, is the focus of a partnership between the Devils and JMC Group that will see the mascot travel throughout Tasmania.

Since making his debut in March, Rum’un has already covered thousands of kilometres across the state, with the new branded vehicle expected to enhance the mascot’s visibility and reach.

JMC Group Managing Director Errol Stewart said he feels “very passionate” about the Devils and is thrilled to now be on-board with the club.

The initiative was unveiled at Jackson Volkswagen in Launceston

“55 years ago, I was just a boy watching black and white television and Buzz Aldrin said upon landing on the moon: One small step for man. One giant leap for mankind,” Stewart said.

“I feel like this moment is very important for Tasmania. The Devils, the Stadium, the whole concept of Tassie teams both male and female on the big stage is enormously aspirational for kids.”

“It will be the catalyst for Tassie to shine through and talk another giant step forward. One small step for the Devils. One giant leap for Tasmania.”

“JMC Group is an organisation that is passionate about Tasmania and Tasmanian communities, so the partnership to deliver Rum’un’s Wheels is a perfect fit.”

Fans can follow Rum’un’s social media for travel updates

“We are delighted to be appearing at JMC Volkswagen’s Family Day in Launceston this weekend. It will be a great opportunity to connect with community and have lots of fun along the way.”

The vehicle is already operational, with fans encouraged to follow Rum’un’s social media accounts for updates on the mascot’s whereabouts as it travels throughout Tasmania.
