In an incredible display of skill and determination, the Tasmania JackJumpers have cemented their position in fourth place, leaving the Adelaide 36ers tumbling to eighth with a dominant 98-82 victory.
The game, held at the MyState Bank Arena on Thursday night, saw sixth man Jack McVeigh deliver a career-best performance, scoring 28 points in just 27 minutes and hitting 6 out of 7 three-pointers.
Coach Scott Roth praised his team’s efforts, calling it their best performance of the NBL season, and said, “It’s something we’ve been inconsistent [at] quite a bit.”
The 36ers, on the other hand, had a poor showing, with Robert Franks (24 points at 71 percent) being the only player to register double digits.
The defeat came at a high cost, as a win would have seen Adelaide leap to fourth spot. Instead, they have slumped to eighth, with a tough game ahead in Perth on Saturday.
