The Tasmania JackJumpers have secured the future of their coaching staff by extending assistant coach Jarrad Weeks’ contract for two more seasons.
Weeks, who joined the coaching staff prior to the NBL24 campaign after transitioning from his playing career, will stay with the team until at least the end of NBL27.
Head Coach Scott Roth said Weeks has played an “instrumental role” in fostering the development of both emerging and established players.
“Jarrad’s commitment to our culture and his transition from player to coach has been nothing short of outstanding,” Roth said.

“His understanding of the game, combined with his leadership and work ethic, makes him a crucial part of our coaching team.”
Weeks said his family, wife Michelle and children Freddie and Ella, are thrilled to extend their time with the JackJumpers.

“I’ve loved being on the other side of the high-performance team and working with some of the best coaches in the league,” Weeks said.
“My family and I are thrilled to continue our time here in Tasmania, a place we now proudly call home.”
Weeks is preparing for an additional challenge as he takes on his first head coaching role with the Hobart Chargers men’s team in the upcoming NBL1 South season.
