The Tasmania JackJumpers have rounded out their roster for the upcoming NBL season with the signings of Archie Woodhill and Nicholas Stoddart as Development Players.
Woodhill, a forward/centre, joins the JackJumpers after spending time with the Sydney Kings and Tasmania’s North West Thunder, while Stoddart is a standout guard who arrives from the Ballarat Miners in NBL1 South.
Both players will also be part of the University of Tasmania (UTAS) Athlete Development Program, which provides support for their growth on and off the court.
“We’re extremely proud to integrate Archie and Nick into our roster and the UTAS Athlete Development Program,” JackJumpers General Manager of Basketball Operations Mika Vukona said.
“This program is something we’ve been working hard to develop, as it provides a parallel pathway for our players to grow as individuals while they pursue their basketball careers.”
Vukona said the club is focused on preparing players for life beyond basketball.
“It’s about ensuring they have the skills and education to thrive in any arena,” he said.
Tasmania’s NBL25 campaign starts on September 19 at HoopsFest, in a Championship Series rematch against Melbourne United.
