Tasmania Police have seized rifles, including one that was stolen, along with a number of cannabis plants and several hydroponic drug setups after searching two properties in southern Tasmania.
Detectives from Bridgewater CIB carried out the searches at Elderslie and New Norfolk on Thursday.
Officers allegedly found a stolen .243 calibre centrefire rifle, a .22 lever action rimfire rifle and a .22 calibre pump action rimfire rifle across the two properties.
They also uncovered multiple hydroponic growing operations and seized 32 cannabis plants.

A 48-year-old Elderslie man was charged with selling cannabis, cultivating cannabis, possessing cannabis and firearm offences including possessing stolen firearms.
A 60-year-old New Norfolk man was charged with cultivating cannabis and other drug offences.

Both men have been bailed and are due to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
“Identifying and removing illegal firearms from the community is a priority for Tasmania Police,” a spokesperson said.
“Anyone with information about the illegal use of firearms or unlawful storage of firearms is urged to contact police on 131 444.”
