Tasmania is set to sizzle today thanks to a warm and humid northerly airstream that has established itself over the state.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Friday is expected to be mostly sunny with light winds before a cold front sweeps over Tasmania on Saturday morning.
As of 10:30am, Hobart Airport held the title of the warmest spot in the state at 24.2°C, while Hobart City was sitting at 23.4°C.
Launceston looks poised to record their warmest day of the month yet, overtaking the current 26.7°C temperature measured on November 8.
To beat this year’s record of the warmest spot in the state, temperatures would have to surpass the current record of 36.9°C recorded in Campania on February 17.
