A young Tasmanian athlete is being remembered after he passed away in the tragic Hunter Valley bus crash on Sunday night.
Kane Symons, aged 22, was one of 35 passengers aboard the bus that crashed at Greta in New South Wales while on their way back from a wedding.
10 people were killed in the crash, with several others left critically injured after the driver lost control of the bus.
The driver has been charged with 11 offences, including ten counts of dangerous driving occasioning death – drive manner dangerous – and one count of negligent driving occasioning death.

The Carlton Park Surf Lifesaving Club issued a statement on Tuesday morning, saying they were “heartbroken.”
“We send our love and support to Steve, Sarn and Jaimie. Kane, otherwise known as “Superman” was an amazing athlete who competed at the highest level,” Club President Christine Gab said.
“But more than that he was a leader, a great bloke and a mate to many. We adored him and he will be truly missed.”
Mr Symons’ girlfriend, Kyah McBride, and her mother, Nadene McBride, are still unaccounted for.
Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff says Tasmanians are thinking of all those devastated by the crash.
“The Tasmanian Government will do all we can to reach out and support the families involved”.
