A mother and her four children have lost everything in a house fire just weeks before Christmas.
The blaze, which completely destroyed their rented home on Dallas Road at Somerset, broke out shortly before 6pm on Thursday.
Firefighters from Somerset, Burnie and Wynyard attended the scene and arrived to find the house “burning well”.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by a family member to help the family rebuild.
The woman’s sister-in-law Rebecca Lovell said the blaze claimed everything in the home.
“My sister in law has just lost her house, along with all her contents, all her belongings, all her Christmas gifts, everything,” she said.
“Such a devastating thing to happen, especially this time of the year.”
