A southern Tasmanian firefighter has been suspended from duty after being charged with possessing bestiality material.
Tasmania Police charged the 37-year-old man on Tuesday after allegedly finding the material on a “storage device”.

He has been charged with one count of possessing a bestiality product.
Acting deputy chief Simon Pilkington confirmed the career firefighter had been stood down.
“Tasmania Fire Service has suspended a 37-year-old southern Tasmanian firefighter from duty after he was charged with one count of possessing bestiality material following an investigation by Tasmania Police,” Pilkington said.

The man is due to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on October 19.
