A Cleveland couple behind a Tasmanian company accused of allegedly overbreeding their female dogs have pled not guilty in the Launceston Magistrates Court.
67-year-old Elizabeth Anne Bartlett and 65-year-old Paul Alan Bartlett are facing 70 counts of breeding dogs without ensuring they had less than two litters in any 18-month period.

The charges, brought against the husband-and-wife duo of Tasmanian Labradoodles Pty Ltd by the RSPCA, cover a period from April 5, 2021 to February 13, 2023.
One count specifically refers to a female dog named Aggie who had three litters within a span of less than a year.
The case has been adjourned until November 9 at 9:45AM.
