A 31-year-old Tasmanian man has been arrested for recklessly discharging a firearm and a string of other charges after a search of an address in Bridgewater in the early hours of this morning.
The man has been charged with multiple offences that took place across the Southern District over the past week, including aggravated burglary, stealing, aggravated assault, motor vehicle stealing, recklessly discharging a firearm and breaching a family violence order.
It is unclear at this time what led to the man discharging the firearm, or if anyone was injured during the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information about the event to come forward and assist with their inquiries.
The man is scheduled to appear before an out of hours sitting in the Hobart Magistrates Court tomorrow.
