A man in his 50s has died following an incident involving an ATV on a rural property at Lileah late last week.
Police and emergency services were called to the private property around 3:30pm on Thursday after reports a man had been seriously injured.
The man was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital, where he later passed away.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said the incident occurred while the man was herding livestock.
“WorkSafe Tasmania was notified and is now investigating the incident,” they said.
“A report will be prepared for the coroner.”
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.”
In July, a Tasmanian coroner called for quad bike regulations to be tightened with the introduction of licences and passenger bans following the death of a teenage rider two years ago.
