A Tasmanian man is just a day away from completing 100 half-marathons in 100 days, raising nearly $40,000 for Cancer research at the Peter MacCallum Foundation.

Harry Woolley was inspired to challenge himself this year after his brother was diagnosed with cancer.

“I want to do everything possible to reduce the fear and suffering my brother and my family had to go through for the next people placed in our position,” he said.

The funds raised from Harry’s runs will help to ensure cancers are detected when they are most treatable and those undergoing treatment are cared and supported for.

Harry has already run more than 2,115km and his final run will kick off from Room For A Pony in North Hobart tomorrow with the Knockoffs Run Club, with people are encouraged to join him.
