A Tasmanian mother will pocket $20,000 a month for the next 20 years after scoring the only division one win in ‘Set for Life’s’ Good Friday draw.

The Ulverstone woman held the sole winning entry in draw 3893 on April 3, collecting a total prize of $4.8 million.

She learned of her win when The Lott called on Easter Sunday to deliver the news.

“Holy s—t. I honestly don’t know what to say,” she told lottery officials over the phone.

The woman said she had noticed an email from The Lott over the long weekend but never got around to opening it.

“I hadn’t got around to opening it, so I had no idea I’d won. I can’t believe it,” she said.

A long-time player, she has used family birthdays as her numbers for about three or four years.

She described the windfall as a turning point after a difficult stretch.

“It’s been a tough few years, so this is just life-changing for me and my family,” she said.

She said she hoped the money would allow her to rethink her working life.

“I’d love … a change of career, maybe even go part-time and have more time to enjoy life with my family.”

The winning numbers were 24, 19, 11, 23, 9, 2 and 18, with supplementary numbers 4 and 6.

It marked the 170th division one Set for Life winner nationally since the game’s inception and the 12th this financial year.

The woman said she had feared the worst when her phone rang.

“When the phone rang just now, I thought, ‘I betcha this is going to be about bloody solar panels’. I’m glad it’s not! This is so amazing!” she said.

“What a great Easter surprise!“
