A veteran Tasmanian musician and concert promoter has written an unofficial anthem for the state’s incoming AFL team.

Charles Touber released “We’ll Come Together” this week, a tribute to the Tasmania Devils ahead of their 2028 debut season.

Touber is well known for bringing major concerts to the state – from AC/DC at the TCA Ground to festivals like Gone South and Southern Roots.

He was also a founding member of Beathoven, the first Tasmanian band to score an international recording deal.

“Tasmania helped shape Australian football – our grounds, our weather, our character,” he said.

“The Tassie Devils are more than a team, they’re the inheritors of our football heritage.”

Touber said the song is a “celebration” of Tasmanian identity and the spirit that binds the state together.

“This is a call to arms,” he said.

“Tasmania’s story has always been about fighting above our weight and coming together as one.”

“The Devils give us a chance to do that again, to unite our diverse, decentralised state behind one team and one song.”

The track was recorded in Sydney and produced by Michael Carpenter, recently named the Australian Country Music Association’s Producer of the Year for 2025.

Touber said the chorus captures the resilience he hopes will define the new club.

“What doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger, the Tassie Devils push the final yard,” the chorus goes.

The anthem also nods to Tasmanian football greats and generations of local supporters.

“We’ll Come Together” remains an unofficial anthem, with the club yet to announce plans for an official team song.
