A Tasmanian P-Plater has lost his licence for at least 4 months and has copped a $1,100 fine after he was caught driving more than 50km/h over the limit down Hobart’s Southern Outlet towards Kingston today.
Police say with the three teenager passengers he had in the car, it’s lucky he didn’t cause a “total tragedy” this Christmas.

The P2 driver was also hit with 6 demerit points.
Authorities say with Operation Safe Arrival underway across the state, Tasmanian road users need to drive safely.
“If you’re speeding, drink driving, or being unsafe in any way – police will be looking out for you,” A Police spokesperson said.
