Tasmanians are being urged to stay safe on the water this summer, as the weather slowly begins to warm up.
New ads have been released, starring the likes of David Boon, Andrew Hart and young skippers Hugo Allison and Sarah Sargent, in an effort to remind Tasmanians of the potential dangers on the water – including those using kayaks and paddleboards.
Sarah, who was involved in a very serious boating incident several years ago and was lucky to survive, is calling on Tasmanians to speak up if you feel unsafe on a boat.
“It could save your life”.
Hugo has a strong message for all skippers – take care of people who come aboard your boat. Help them fit their life jackets and show them where the safety gear is stored.
