“I only found out when I just checked my ticket now! I can’t believe it!” the man told The Lott.

“I had heard there was a big win in Tasmania. I play Oz Lotto each week but I didn’t for a moment think it was me.”

The new multi-millionaire said he now plans to make sure his family is comfortable and will buy a new house.

“It gives me money for a new house and to take care of my family. I want to make sure everyone’s comfortable.”

The winning ticket was purchased from the Upper Burnie Newsagency & Post Office, with the stores manager Jeremy Turner thrilled to see another big win land in Tasmania.

“Thirty million dollars is a pretty big prize!” he said.

“We last sold a division one winning entry about two years ago – it was a $2 million prize in TattsLotto. Customers have been saying we’re due to sell another big winning ticket… and now we have.”

“When they buy a ticket, everyone always asks for a winning ticket and now some lucky person out there has it!”

The winning numbers in the Tuesday night draw were 23, 6, 27, 41, 8, 24 and 47 – while the supplementary numbers were 4, 13 and 28.
