Tasmanian country duo The Wolfe Brothers have won three Golden Guitars at a top awards ceremony tonight.
The pair took home Album of the Year for ‘Livin’ The Dream’, Group/Duo of the Year and Vocal Collaboration of the Year for ‘Runnin’ The Country’ with Travis Collins.
During their performance at the ceremony, the brothers paid tribute to their mother, who passed away in 2022.
On Thursday, the now nine-time Golden Guitar-winning duo was announced as 2024 Galaxy of Stars inductees, joining Australia’s country music icons in being recognised for their significant contribution to the music industry.
Judges said The Wolfe Brothers are Australia’s most-awarded country rock duo in history.
“From making the journey as fans, road tripping with our late Mum and Dad to our first gig in Tamworth, to our first golden guitar and the thousands of fantastic memories we’ve made on our trips into Tamworth for the festival,” Nick Wolfe, one half of The Wolfe Brothers, said.
“And now the honour of being inducted into the Galaxy of Stars is yet another incredible memory and milestone for us in this special place for Australian country music.”
