A Tasmanian adventurer has shared breathtaking photos of his camping experience near the summit of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington overnight.
Adrian Bol pitched his small yellow tent near the mountain peak, capturing stunning images of this morning’s sunrise over Hobart.
Bol said the experience provided an excellent night’s sleep despite the snowy conditions.
“No wind as wind blows over the top so no need for earplugs. Good tent and sleeping bag so excellent sleep,” Bol told Pulse.

The site offered spectacular views while remaining within park regulations.
“Camping is allowed in ‘natural zone’ on Mt Wellington. Only a short walk to feel on top of the world. And away from life in Hobart,” he added.

Bol’s camping trip came as a cold front swept across Tasmania, with the Bureau of Meteorology having forecast snow to fall as low as 200 metres in the state’s far south this morning.
Mountain peaks across Tasmania received dustings of snow throughout the week, with meteorologists also warning of possible small hail and thunderstorms in western and southern regions today.
