Two people are reportedly on the run after crashing a stolen car into a tree near Launceston this morning.
Police say the pair fled the scene on Meander Valley Road at Hadspen shortly after 7:30am when they hit a tree in a red Ford Falcon, which had only been reported stolen moments prior.

“The car was reported as stolen from Summerhill a short time earlier, and police are seeking dashcam or other footage from any witnesses,” a spokesperson said.
