A teenager who was allegedly ‘armed with a screwdriver’ has been accused of robbing a Launceston bottleshop.
The 17-year-old boy is facing charges after allegedly stealing alcohol from the store on Saturday.
Police allege the armed teenager entered the store and threatened staff before running off with the alcohol.
Officers arrested him nearby and charged him with several offences related to the incident.
He has since been granted bail and is due to appear in a youth court at a later date.
Police said no one was physically injured during the robbery.
