An 18-year-old will face court after police allegedly found illegal drugs and a working homemade handgun at a home on Tasmania’s east coast.
Police allegedly made “significant seizures” of controlled drugs, including peptides and human growth hormones, during a search of a private residence in Triabunna on Friday, June 5.
They also uncovered several firearms offences, with the items seized including a privately manufactured handgun capable of being fired.
The search was part of a targeted operation investigating the importation of illicit drugs into Tasmania.

The teenager will be summonsed to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
Police said investigations were continuing and urged anyone with information about illegal firearms or illicit substances to come forward.
