Stolen motorcycles have been recovered and three teenagers arrested overnight after they were seen acting suspiciously in the Hobart suburb of Dynnyrne.
Police found the damaged bikes abandoned on a street around 11pm on Sunday, with investigations revealing they had been stolen earlier in the evening.
They said the tools allegedly used in the thefts were found nearby.
A search of the area led to the arrest of the trio, with two of them now facing charges for stealing offences.
The 15-year-old and a 13-year-old will appear in court at a later date.
The third teenager, a 17-year-old, was also charged with possession of cannabis, motor vehicle stealing, attempted motor vehicle stealing and destroying property.
They were held in custody to appear in court.
Acting Inspector Danny Jackson said the teenagers were all breaching bail conditions at the time of the incident.
“It was because we were notified so quickly that we were able to arrest the alleged offenders and recover the stolen vehicles,” he said.
