Thick smoke blankets Sandy Bay as firefighters respond to blaze

Firefighters have been called to a blaze that has reportedly engulfed a shed in Sandy Bay this afternoon.

Crews were called to the Mawhera Street address just after 12:30pm on Thursday.

A Tasmania Fire Service spokesperson said the fire had spread to a shed and hedge on the property.
