An exclusion zone has been setup at Macquarie Point after a quantity of what is understood to be jet fuel reportedly spilled inside the wharf area.
The 10,000-litre container was reported as having spilled around 5pm on Sunday, with Tasmania Police and the Tasmania Fire Service currently on the scene.

The incident has prompted the evacuation of workers from the site.
People within 300-metres of the spill zone, which is inside the fenced area of the wharf, have been told to move away, with police blocking access to the port area.
The Tasmania Fire Service was unable to be reached for comment.
