Three people were taken to hospital with injuries police say are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police say the male driver of a silver Kia Rio involved in the crash left the scene on foot.
“The road is currently closed and motorists are asked to avoid the area while crash scene investigations are under way,” police said.
Anyone with information, including dashcam footage that could help identify the driver, is asked to contact police.
