People visiting the Snug Beach are urged to be aware after a tiger snake was spotted this afternoon.
The Kingborough Council has issued a warning after reports of the snake in the water and bush area.
They are urging people to keep an eye out and to stay well away if they do see the snake.

“It is a good reminder that snakes are active during the warm and hot days, looking for water and warm sunny spots.”
There are three types of venomous snakes found in Tasmania, including the tiger, white-lipped, and copperhead.
