A tree has fallen across Risdon Road in New Town this morning, blocking the highway-bound lanes from New Town.
The tree came down just after 11am on Saturday.

Traffic in the area is heavily congested, with delays expected.
Authorities are at the scene working to clear the incident.
It comes as severe weather continues to impact the entire state, with the BOM warning the worst is yet to come.
Forecaster Luke Johnston said more strong winds, abnormally high tides and potentially damaging surf are all on the horizon.
“All the factors and the weather are really coming together Saturday evening, so that’s when we’ll have some of the strongest winds, the highest tides and potentially some of the bigger flooding events,” he said.
