Two people have been charged over a shoplifting spree that allegedly saw them make off with $4,500 worth of goods from shops in Claremont and Sandy Bay.
A 14-year-old girl and a 26-year-old woman, both from Claremont, were arrested on Wednesday.
Police allege the pair worked together to take items from stores across the two suburbs earlier this month.
Some of the goods have since been tracked down and taken back by police.
Both are being held to face court. Inspector Jason Klug said officers were not letting up on this kind of crime.
“Police will continue to actively target this type of offending to reduce property crime and hold offenders accountable,” he said.
Anyone with information about criminal activity is being asked to get in touch with Tasmania Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers.
