Two ‘large fires’ have broken out in the Brighton area north of Hobart this evening, with authorities rushing to battle both blazes.
Residents near one blaze on Hartley Court say the smoke is ‘thick and black,’ adding they can hear ‘popping and small explosions’.
The cause of both fires is unknown at this time.
