Two young people have been taken back into custody after they allegedly escaped from the Ashley Youth Detention Centre.
Police were called to the facility near Deloraine shortly after 12pm on Friday following a report that the pair had run off.

Both were “intercepted” a short time later and “safely” arrested.
“Investigations into the incident are ongoing,” police said.
