Two young individuals are facing charges in connection to a series of incidents in New Norfolk last week, where homemade explosive devices caused slight damage to properties.
On January 25th and 26th, local authorities received reports of loud blasts in the areas of Pioneer Avenue, Kensington Street, Cowburn Road, and Hazelwood Road.
Damage was reported to a bus stop, mailbox, and window, however, there were no reported injuries.
Following the police response, officers from the New Norfolk Police, Bridgewater CIB, and the Bomb Response Group conducted several searches in the area and have interviewed several young individuals who are now facing charges.
Police have stated that they have confiscated all relevant materials and have safely disposed of any remaining explosive devices.
