Food delivery giant launches in Tasmania’s north-west

The food delivery market in North-West Tasmania just got a little more crowded with the arrival of Uber Eats.

The global ride-sharing giant has officially launched its food delivery service in Devonport, Burnie and Somerset – joining the likes of Menulog and DoorDash in the coastal market.

Dozens of Devonport cafe’s and restaurants are already listed on the platform, from Café Xoxo to McDonald’s and Wiseguise Pizza.

Current delivery fees range from $1.99 to over $10.

The launch of Uber Eats in the North-West coincides with the company’s announcement that it is starting services in several other regional towns across Australia.
