A United States Navy warship, complete with 1,200 American soldiers and hi-tech military flying machines has docked in Hobart today. 🚢⚓
The amphibious assault ship, known as the USS Tripoli, arrived from Sydney shortly before 9am this morning as it travels around the Indo-Pacific region undertaking ‘routine operations’.

Security will be tight while the ship berths alongside Macquarie Wharf for the next 3 days, with two security vessels, including one with armed police officers monitoring the 30 metre ‘waterside prohibited area’ around the ship at all times.
