A woman has been arrested and charged with several driving and drug offences following an evade incident in Burnie on Christmas night.
The 30-year-old from Newnham allegedly evaded police on Mount Street, Upper Burnie at around 10:15pm on Wednesday before driving dangerously on the Bass Highway.

She was eventually taken into custody in Penguin around 25 minutes later.
Police said the woman was unlicensed and breaching court bail conditions at the time of the incident.
She has been held to appear in court.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
