Tasmania Police will have to write off one of their unmarked vehicles after it was involved in a multi-car crash on the Brooker Highway overnight.
The smash between at least two other motorists closed the highway at the intersection with Derwent Park Road just after 10pm on Wednesday.
The Kia police car sustained significant damage to its front passenger side.
Police told Pulse the officer behind the wheel was responding to a “traffic related incident” at the time.
“No one was physically injured in the crash,” the spokesperson said.
“As is the usual process in matters involving police officers, a review of the circumstances of the crash is underway.”
