Vehicle damaged after allegedly being shot at in Herdsmans Cove overnight

A vehicle parked in a Herdsmans Cove street overnight has been left with multiple bullet holes following an alleged late-night shooting.

Police were called to the Lamprill Circle address in Hobart’s northern suburbs around 12:30am on Sunday after receiving a report of a firearm discharge.

Upon arrival, officers found the unoccupied vehicle with damage to its rear passenger door and window, consistent with gunfire.

No one was physically injured in the incident, leading police to believe the parties involved are known to one another.

Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact police on 131444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
