A shark that has been spotted swimming on the Hobart Waterfront has prompted a warning from authorities this morning.
Police are warning swimmers and water-users to be aware of the shark, which is thought to be around 1-2m long and was spotted swimming around the Franklin Wharf area shortly before 10 AM.
People are advised to exercise caution and to follow the advice of authorities when swimming.
