A hypothermic man has been rescued after he fell out of his kayak in Launceston this afternoon.
The rescued man, who was not wearing a lifejacket, is believed to have been in the water at Tailrace for around 40 minutes – as seen in footage from 7 Tasmania.
Police say the kayaker was found holding onto a navigation buoy and was pulled from the river by surf lifesaving volunteers around 12:20PM on Tuesday.
