An off-duty police officer who was in the right place at the right time has managed to stop and intercept a dangerous and drunk Tassie driver on a Windermere road this week.
The officer stopped a vehicle, which was caught on camera swerving all over the road on Wednesday, with the driver later found to have a blood alcohol reading of 0.215.

The 28-year-old man was charged with drink driving offences and has been slapped with a 12-month immediate licence disqualification.
He will appear before the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.
