Huonville residents are being warned to expect some flooding this afternoon, with the BOM issuing a minor flood warning for the Huon river.
The Bureau of Meteorology say rainfall from Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning has caused river levels to rise from Harrisons Opening to Huonville.
“Locations likely to be impacted are low lying areas along the Huon River near Harrisons Opening, Tahune Bridge, Lonnavale, Judbury, Glen Huon, Ranelagh and Huonville,” the BOM say.
“During the next 24hrs flooding in nearby streams and rivers is likely.”

“Some low-lying properties may become isolated by flood waters. Property, livestock, equipment, and crops in low lying areas may be at risk from flood waters.”
Tasmania Police ask motorists to avoid The Esplanade in Huonville as water makes its way onto the road.
“More water is expected at high tide at approximately 11.00am,” Police warn.
