The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) will be conducting multiple flypasts over Hobart this weekend to commemorate the Battle of Britain.
The Air Force Roulettes are scheduled to fly over central Hobart at approximately 3pm on Saturday and over the commemorative service at the Hobart Cenotaph at approximately 11:30am on Sunday.
A RAAF P-8A Poseidon and two RAAF Hawk 127 lead-in fighters will also perform flypasts over the Sunday service at 11am and 11:30am, respectively.
“All flying is subject to change, including short notice cancellation, due to variables such as air traffic control, weather and operational requirements,” the RAAF said.
“Safety, noise management and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of Defence flying activities.”
The Roulettes were visible above Launceston Airport on Friday afternoon.
