A woman has died after a tragic long weekend two-car-crash on the Arthur Highway at Copping this morning.
Police say the woman was a passenger in an MG sedan and sadly died at the scene, while the male driver was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with minor injuries.
“Police and emergency services were called to the scene about 9.20am following the crash near Blue Hills Road,” officers said.
“The highway remains closed between Kellevie Road and Sugarloaf Road while crash investigators conduct inquiries.”

“A report will be prepared for the Coroner who will determine the cause of the fatal crash.”
“Initial investigations indicate the crash occurred between a white MG sedan and a silver Toyota Camry sedan.”
The occupants of the Toyota were also taken to hospital with minor injuries, along with an uninjured infant.
Anyone with information or dash cam footage of the vehicles prior to the crash should contact police on 131444.
