Three young girls have walked away from a crash without serious injures after flipping their car multiple times while driving in the state’s north.
Speaking to Pulse, the driver of the vehicle said the trio were on their way home from Parsons Falls on Saturday afternoon when they were involved in a “pretty bad car crash” just before 3pm.
“My car rolled four times … and landed on its side. We had to crawl out the back window,” Dayna Hering said.
“Thankfully some local men saw us and called 000.”
Paramedics told the girls they were ‘lucky to be alive’, as they had been wearing their seatbelts and treated them at the scene for minor injuries.
Tasmania Police have indicated that “inexperience” was a contributing factor to the crash.
They said the driver had reportedly “lost control” of her vehicle and rolled into a paddock.
Hering is now without her written-off 2004 Toyota Echo, prompting her friends who were in the back seat to start a fundraiser so she can purchase a new vehicle.
“It happened suddenly, as she lost control of her vehicle on a narrow country road resulting in significant damage to her car after it rolled multiple times and landed on it’s side and, thankfully, only minor injuries to ourselves,” the GoFundMe, which has raised $873, reads.
