13 stolen firearms have been removed from Tasmania’s streets after two raids in the state’s north.
11 of the guns, believed to have been stolen during a series of burglaries between 2018 and 2022, were found at a rural property in Nunamara alongside a quantity of ammunition in May.

Police say a 29-year-old man was arrested as a result, leading to a subsequent search that uncovered two more stolen firearms.
The Waverley man has since been charged with a number of firearms-related and family violence offences and will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.
