‘300+ kids’: Police bust massive Taroona house party

“He’ll be grounded forever”: Police have shut down a ‘massive’ high school party in Taroona overnight, resulting in ‘hundreds’ of young students dispersing out across nearby roads and onto buses.

One parent, who was forced to collect her son and his friends, told Pulse she estimated over “20 officers and over 300 kids” were on the scene around 10PM.

She says she understood the parents of the student who hosted the party were away and were “not aware of the planned party”.

Pulse understands at least one teenager was detained by Police for possession of a knife.

Google Traffic reported ‘heavy congestion’ on the Channel Highway area near Taroona High School shortly after officers arrived and as dozens of parents arrived to pick up their kids – while other students waited for buses.

A heavy Police presence was also spotted at the nearby Sandy Bay McDonalds around 45 minutes later, with a large group of teenagers gathering

Police say no charges have been laid at this stage.
